Merry Snowflakes -- It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

Hello!

Here's another card designed for my Annual Christmas Card classes.  I'll be finishing up the classes this weekend and it's been so fun to see everyone and to spend time creating!  You can see three of the other cards for the class by clicking here, here, and here.

We don't get cold enough for snow in this part of Florida but I have a few customers in my Christmas Card Classes who have come to expect at least one Christmas card that features snowflakes as they grew up in areas where snow was a major factor in their Winter memories.  The colors for this card come from the colors in the layers of ice I saw in the glaciers in Alaska.

This card begins with a card base of Coastal Cabana with the card front embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  A panel of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the snowflake 3D embossing folder from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders.  Narrow strips of Gold Foil Sheets were adhered along the top and bottom edges of the embossed snowflake panel with the right and left edges of the strips flush with the right and left edges of the embossed snowflake panel.  The snowflake panel was adhered at the center of a slightly larger panel of Bermuda Bay cardstock with the right and left edges of the snowflake panel flush with the right and left edges of the Bermuda Bay panel.  The panels were then adhered to the card front with the right and left edges of the panels flush with the right and left edges of the card front, the top edge of the Bermuda Bay panel 5/16" below the top edge of the card front, and the bottom edge of the Bermuda Bay panel 7/16" above the bottom edge of the card front.

The "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" greeting, from the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set, was stamped on a piece of Pool Party cardstock using Bermuda Bay ink.  The 1-3/16" x 2-3/4" tag, from the Tailor Made Tags dies, was used to die cut the greeting with the hole for the ribbon positioned to the left of the greeting.  Gold Shimmer Ribbon was threaded through the ribbon hole and tied into place with a piece of White Baker's Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.  The tag was adhered near the lower right corner of the snowflake embossed panel using Stampin' Dimensionals with the right end of the tag 1/4" from the right side of the card front and the bottom edge of the tag 1" above the bottom edge of the card front.

The three snowflakes from the Merry Snowflakes stamp set were stamped on Basic White cardstock:  the largest snowflake with Pool Party ink, the medium sized snowflake with Coastal Cabana ink, and the smallest snowflake with Bermuda Bay ink.  The snowflakes were die cut using the corresponding dies from the Stitched Snowflakes dies and adhered to the embossed snowflake panel using Stampin' Dimensionals:  the largest snowflake at the upper left corner, the medium snowflake just above the right end of the greeting tag, and the small snowflake just to the left of the ribbon end of the tag.

The Stitched Snowflakes dies includes a really awesome embossing die that I used on a strip of Bermuda Bay cardstock.  A narrow strip of Pool Party cardstock was adhered behind the top edge of the Bermuda Bay strip and the strips were adhered along the bottom edge of a Basic White panel.  The "Snowflake Wishes for a Merry Christmas" sentiment, from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set, was stamped at the upper center of the panel using Bermuda Bay ink.  The panel was adhered at the center of the inside sentiment area of the card base.

The snowflake 3D embossing folder was used to emboss the envelope flap of the Medium Basic White Envelope.  (I'm sorry for the funky background colors, but it was the only way I could get the embossing to show up...)

I'll be back soon with the final card from my Christmas Card classes.
