Color & Contour -- Here For You Now

Hello!

It's an exciting week in the Stampin' Up! world.  The 2021-2022 Annual Catalog sales period begins on Tuesday, May 4th.  If you are on my customer list, you should have already received your new catalog in the US Mail.  If you would like to receive a catalog and live in the USA, please contact me via the email hotlink (right sidebar below my photo) and I'll send you a catalog.

Today's project features one of the new Bundles from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog:  Color & Contour.  This bundle includes the Color & Contour stamp set and coordinating Scalloped Contours dies.  Another item from the new catalog is the Designer Series Paper used for this project:  Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper.  This paper is part of the Hand-Penned Suite of products.  Both contain floral stamp sets featuring Two-Step Stamping.

This card begins with a sheet of Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper.  One side of the paper provides the floral focal point inside the scalloped rectangle (and on the envelope flap), and the other side of the paper provides the striped background behind the scalloped rectangle.  A panel of the striped background paper was matted with a slightly larger mat of Garden Green cardstock and adhered at the center of the Cinnamon Cider card front.

A piece of Garden Green cardstock was die cut with the scalloped rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours dies (2-7/16" x 3-3/4").  A rectangle was cut from the floral side of the Designer Series Paper.  The brush tip of the Light Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends Marker was swiped across the length of a piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon and then wrapped around the bottom of the floral paper rectangle and tied into a bow with the bottom edge of the ribbon 7/8" above the bottom edge of the floral rectangle.  The floral rectangle was then adhered at the center of the scalloped rectangle die.  The scalloped rectangle die was adhered to the card front with the bottom edge of the scalloped rectangle die 11/16" above the bottom edge of the striped Designer Series Paper and left side of the scalloped rectangle 1/8" from the left side of the striped Designer Series Paper.

A strip of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the "Here For You Now" greeting using Cinnamon Cider ink.  The strip was adhered to the card front with Stampin' Seal adhered behind the "H" in "Here" and stacks of two Mini Glue Dots behind the top and bottom right side of the the greeting strip and another stack of two Mini Glue Dots under the "You".  The top edge of the greeting strip is 1-3/4" below the top edge of the striped background paper and the right edge of the greeting strip flush with the right edge of the striped background paper.

The "And In Better Days Ahead" sentiment was stamped at the upper center of a panel of Basic White cardstock using Cinnamon Cider ink.  The doodle daisy flower outline stamp was stamped three times in the area above the sentiment using Cinnamon Cider ink stamped off once before stamping on the cardstock.  The doodle daisy flower filler stamp was inked with Cinnamon Cider ink, stamped off two times, and then stamped over one of the outline stamps.  This process was repeated for the other two flowers.  The center of each flower was colored with a Blender Pen and Bumblebee ink.  The doodle leaf image was stamped once or twice around each flower using Garden Green ink.  A Blender Pen and Garden Green ink was used to add "vein" lines inside each of the stamped leaves.  A Blender Pen and Mint Macaron ink was used to fill in the doodle leaves.

The panel was adhered at the center of the inside sentiment area of the card base.

A piece of the Designer Series Paper was adhered, floral side up, to the envelope flap of the Medium Basic White Envelope.  Paper Snips were used to trim the excess paper away using the edge of the envelope flap as a guide.

I'm excited to begin sharing items from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog with you in the coming year.  For this month, you'll also see some projects from the January - June Mini Catalog as we still have a few weeks to go for the great items in this catalog.  You'll see that some of the items in this catalog are carrying over to the new Annual Catalog.  However, in some cases, the Bundle pricing for items in the January - June Mini Catalog will not carry over to the new Annual Catalog.  This means that if you have that Bundle item on your Wish List, now is the time to purchase the bundle while you can still get the Bundle savings.
