A Wish For Everything -- Happy Mother's Day

Hi there!

Today's post is a continuation on the theme of highlighting some of the retiring product from the 2020 -2021 Annual Catalog and January - June Mini Catalog.

REMINDER!!  The Retiring Lists for the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog and the January - June Mini Catalog have been released.  To see the list of retiring items from the 2020 -2021 Annual Catalog, click here.  Note that some of the items on this list have been discounted and all are available while supplies last.  To see the list of retiring items from the January - June Mini Catalog, click here.  Since this Mini Catalog goes until the end of June, Stampin' Up! hasn't determined whether to apply discounts to these items...yet.  But looking at this list will give you a good idea of what will be carrying over to the new Annual Catalog.

This project showcases the RETIRING ITEMS of:  Curvy dies, Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, 2" circle punch, Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper, Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon, and Terracotta Tile (ink and cardstock).

Even though my Mom has moved to Heaven, I still have people I want to remember on Mother's Day:  my daughters, daughters-in-law, and wonderful women who continue to be a politive influence in my life.  I think this card is a bright and cheerful way to let these important women know how special they are.

This card begins with a piece of Terracotta Tile cardstock.  The dotted edge curvy die from the Curvy dies was used to cut along the horizonal of the cardstock with one end 1-5/8" below the top left corner and the other end of the die 1/2" below the top right corner.  The cardstock was die cut with the same die on the remaining cardstock with one end 1/2" above the lower left corner and the other end of the die 1-5/8" above the lower right corner.  The two pieces were embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and the pieces adhered to a panel of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper leaving a "pathway" of Designer Series Paper between the two die cut pieces.  Note that the non-curved edges of the cardstock pieces are flush with the outside edges of the Designer Series Paper.  The Designer Series Paper/die cut cardstock was adhered at the center of a slightly larger mat of Old Olive cardstock and then adhered at the center of the Bumblebee card base.

A piece of Vellum cardstock was die cut with the doodle circle label from the Painted Labels dies.  A piece of Bumblebee cardstock was punched with the 2" circle punch.  The punched circle was adhered at the center of the Vellum circle label.  The "happy" word, from the A Wish For Everything stamp set, was stamped near the upper edge of the Bumblebee circle using Terracotta Tile ink.  A piece of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon was folded in a "Z" and adhered in a diagonal across the right side of the card front.  The label was adhered over the ribbon using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Three Opal Rounds were adhered to the card front to create a visual triangle.

Adhesive Sheets were adhered to the back of six pieces of Old Olive cardstock.  Three of the pieces were die cut with the "Mother's" die from the Word Wishes dies and three of the pieces were die cut with the "Day" die.  The three "Mother's" die cuts were stacked one on top of the other (removing the adhesive sheet covers prior to stacking one on top of the other) and the stacked dies adhered to the Bumblebee circle immediately below the stamped "happy".  Don't forget the apostrophe in "Mother's"!  These were adhered to the Bumblebee circle above the right top of the "r", one stacked on top of the other.  The "Day" die cuts were stacked one on top of the other and then adhered to the Bumblebee circle below "Mother's".

A piece of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper and a piece of Terracotta Tile cardstock were die cut with the dotted curvy die, matching the curves for both pieces.  The dotted part was cut off the Designer Series Paper using Paper Snips (use the indent from the curvy die as a guide when trimming off the dotted edge).  The Designer Series Paper was adhered on top of the Terracotta Tile die cut and then the two pieces adhered along the top edge of a panel of Basic White cardstock.  Paper Snips were used to trim the Designer Series Paper/cardstock using the edges of the panel as a guide.

The "Just A Little Reminder That You Are Loved." sentiment was stamped at the center of the panel using Old Olive ink.

You'll note that there's a thin mat of Old Olive cardstock behind the Basic White panel.  This is because I wanted to separate the Bumblebee background of the Designer Series Paper from the Bumblebee card base.  The panels were adhered at the center of the inside sentiment area of the card base.

AWishForEverything_HappyMothersDay_Envelope

A piece of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper was adhered to the envelope flap of the Medium Basic White Envelope.  Paper Snips were used to trim the excess Designer Series Paper using the edge of the envelope flap as a guide.

It seems that there's a bit of work to making this card because there are so many pieces.  However, it went together very quickly and would be great as a Birthday card, Anniversary card, Wedding card, Thinking of You card, or as a fun Note card.  The A Wish For Everything stamp set and coordinating Word Wishes dies give you so many options to choose from.
