Ornate Style - Just A Little Reminder
Hey Chick & Hey Birthday Chick -- Hey, Chick!

Ornate Thanks -- You're Amazing

Hi There!

The Ornate Garden Suite has so many wonderful pieces and parts, I'm making a determined effort to show you all of them to you.  Today's post features the Ornate Thanks stamp set and Ornate Borders dies Bundle.  I haven't had the opportunity to play with the Ornate Borders dies and that's a shame because I just love border dies.  They add just the right touch when you need a little extra something for your project.  For this card, I'm showing one of the floral borders on the card front and one of the edge borders for the inside of the card.

This card begins with a panel of Bumblebee cardstock.  A diagonal cut was made across the panel.  To do this, make a mark at the top left corner at 3/8" and a mark at the lower right corner at 1/2".  Place the cardstock in the Paper Trimmer so that the two marks are on the cutting track and then cut the cardstock.  Emboss the larger piece with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and then adhere the embossed Bumblebee cardstock to a panel of Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper so that the top left, top, right, and bottom right edges of the Bumblebee are flush with the same edges of the Designer Series Paper.  The cardstock/Designer Series Paper was then adhered at the center of a slightly larger mat of Old Olive cardstock and then adhered at the center of the Rococco Rose card front.

A piece of Old Olive cardstock was die cut with the roses and daisies border and adhered along the diagonal cut of the Bumblebee cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid adhesive.  The single flower dies from the Ornate Borders dies were used to die cut:  one large and one medium flower from Blushing Bride cardstock; one large, one medium, and two small flowers from Rococco Rose cardstock; and one large and one small flower from Bumblebee cardstock.  The center holes were matched up and Linen Thread threaded through the holes and tied into a knot at the top of:  one small Rococco Rose and one large Blushing Bride flower, one medium Blushing Bride flower, one large Rococco Rose and one small Bumblebee flower, one large Bumblebee flower and one small Rococco Rose flower, and one medium Rococco Rose flower.  The flowers were adhered to the Old Olive floral border using Multipurpose Liquid adhesive.

The "you're amazing" greeting was stamped on a strip of Bumblebee cardstock using Rococco Rose ink and the ends of the strip punched in the rounded end slot of the Treasured Tags Pick A Punch.  The ends of a slightly narrower strip of Rococco Rose cardstock were punched in the pointed end slot of the Treasured Tags Pick A Punch and adhered along the center back of the Bumblebee punched tag.  The ends of a strip of Blushing Bride cardstock, slightly wider than the Bumblebee cardstock, was punched with the rounded slot of the Treasured Tags Pick A Punch.  The Bumblebee/Rococco Rose tags were adhered at the center of the Blushing Bride tag.  The combined tags were adhered at the upper right corner of the embossed Bumblebee cardstock with the top edge of the Blushing Bride tag 5/16" below the top edge and 1/4" from the right edge of the embossed Bumblebee cardstock.

The "So Grateful" sentiment was stamped at the upper center of a panel of Basic White cardstock using Bumblebee ink.  The "for all your help" sentiment was stamped below and justified to the right of the "So Grateful" sentiment using Old Olive ink.  A strip of Old Olive cardstock was die cut using the daisy and polka dot border and adhered behind the top edge of a strip of Designer Series Paper.  The border/Designer Series Paper was adhered along the bottom edge of the Basic White panel with the left, bottom, and right edges of the border/Designer Series Paper flush with the left, bottom, and right edges of the Basic White panel.  The panel was adhered at the center of the inside sentiment area of the card base.

A piece of Designer Series Paper was adhered to the envelope flap of the Medium Basic White Envelope.  Paper Snips were used to trim away the excess Designer Series Paper using the edge of the envelope flap as a guide.

Now that I've opened the Ornate Borders dies, I can't wait to play with more of the borders.  I'm sure you'll see more of them soon!
