Stamp Review Crew -- Varied Vases

Stamp Review Crew blog banner

Hello!  Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop featuring the Varied Vases stamp set.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Stamp Review Crew is an international group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who gather for a blog hop the first, third, and (sometimes the fifth) Mondays of the month to review a single stamp set.  The number of participants varies from hop to hop, but the ideas are plentiful as we take a stamp set through its paces.  By the time you've traveled through the hop, you are sure to find a number of innovative ways to use the featured stamp set.  So sit back, relax, and get ready to start pinning ideas to your Pinterest board!

To see the line up of artists for this week's hop, click here.  If you've already joined the hop and are traveling forward, you've arrived from Adriana's blog (she's a near neighbor here in East Central Florida) where you were presented with an amazing project to inspire your creativity.  If you're traveling backwards through the hop, you've seen Mary's project and are ready to CASE! (Copy And Share Everything)

This card design was inspired by a project created by the fabulous Kelly Kent where she featured a Z-fold card for one of her projects.  Kelly's made a custom envelope for her card due to its unique size but I wanted my card to fit into a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  So I decided to figure out how to adjust the cutting and scoring to create a card that, when folded, was 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" in the portrait orientation.  Here's what I came up with.

I really like the vivid colors for this card.  As with most of my projects, the colors come primarily from the Designer Series Paper that I use.  For this project, I chose the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper.

Here's the envelope.  Masking was used to put the flower stem in the vase.
