Stamp Review Crew -- Tabs For Everything

Stamp Review Crew blog banner

Hello!  Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop featuring the Tabs For Everything stamp set.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Stamp Review Crew is an international group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who gather for a blog hop the first and third Mondays of the month to review a single stamp set.  The number of participants varies from hop to hop, but the ideas are plentiful as we take a stamp set through its paces.  By the time you've traveled through the hop, you are sure to find a number of innovative ways to use the featured stamp set.  So sit back, relax, and get ready to start pinning ideas to your Pinterest board!

Planners are a wonderful tool for anyone in today's busy world.  The trend to use them as a way to capture daily memories while keeping track of our busy lives is one that appeals to me on many levels--especially as I get (cough, gasp) older.  So the Tabs For Everything stamp set was designed for use in planners and memory keeping.  However, all the cute images and words have some fun uses for card making, too.

I've been wanting to open up my box of Brusho crystals, so decided to get some Watercolor Paper wet for this Valentine's Card.

TabsForEverything_YoureAdorable

This card begins with a piece of Watercolor Paper heat embossed with the solid heart image using Versamark and Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder.  [Tip:  Be sure to swipe the Embossing Buddy over the paper prior to stamping to ensure that the embossing powder sticks only to the stamped images.]  The Watercolor Paper was spritzed with water and then sprinkled with Red Brusho crystals.  A wet Aquapainter was then scrubbed over the Brusho crystals to spread the color over the Watercolor Paper.  More Brusho crystals were sprinkled here and there to darken some areas a little more.  Once the paper was dry, a clean Aquapainter was tapped over the Watercolor Paper to drop some splats of water over the paper.  Once the paper was dry, a paper towel was used to remove the red paint from the embossed hearts.  The "love" image was stamped between the embossed hearts using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The Circle Tab punch was used to punch the tab from Basic Black cardstock.  A Bone Folder was used to score a line to fold the tab in half.  The "You're" and "Adorable" images were stamped on the circle and rectangle areas, respectively, using Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  The tab was adhered near the upper right corner of the Watercolor Paper.

A strip of Basic Black cardstock was punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border punch.  The punched strip was adhered along the left side of the Watercolor Paper.  The Watercolor Paper was then adhered at the center of a piece of Silver Foil Sheets.  A piece of Silver Foil Sheets was die cut with the Big Shot using the enlongated heart from the Lots to Love Box Framelits.  The heart was adhered near the upper center of the Watercolor Paper.  The standing Panda, from the Party Pandas Sale-A-Bration stamp set, was stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut out with Paper Snips.  The "Hi" image was stamped on the Panda's envelope using Real Red ink.  The Panda was adhered at the center of the Silver Foil heart using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The card front of the Real Red cardstock card base was stamped with the solid heart and "love" images using Versamark ink, covered in Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, and Heat Embossed using the Heat Tool.  The Watercolor Paper/Silver Foil Sheets focal point was adhered to the card front using Foam Adhesive Strips with the top edge of the focal point 3/8" from the top edge of the card front and left edge of the focal point 1/4" from the left edge of the card front.

TabsForEverything_YoureAdorable_Liner

The inside sentiment area of the card was lined with a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The sitting Panda with balloon was stamped at the lower left corner of the liner using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The "Love You" image was stamped inside the balloon using Real Red ink.  (Both of these images are from the Party Pandas Sale-A-Bration stamp set.)

The sitting Panda was also stamped at the lower left front corner of the Medium Whisper White Envelope using Memento Tuxedo Black ink with Real Red ink for the "Love You" image stamped inside the balloon.

Now that I've gotten my Aquapainter wet with the Brusho crystals, I can't wait to use them for other projects.  I can see some really fun watercolor effects in my future!
