Party Pandas -- Happy Birthday

Hello!

It's been quite a while since I've been able to write a post that wasn't associated with a Blog Hop or Design Challenge.  So it's really nice to be able to take the time to touch base with you.  Things have been rather chaotic in my life for the last number of months--these things happen.  I'm on an enforced break after an outpatient procedure earlier this week; therefore, I hope to get caught up with a pretty significant stack of projects to share with you.

The first project is one I designed for my February Stamp Clubs to feature a few of the Sale-A-Bration items:  Party Pandas stamp set, Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper, and Shimmer Ribbon Pack.

PartyPandas_HappyBirthday

This card begins with a card base of Daffodil Delight cardstock.  The card front was randomly stamped with the confetti image from the Party Pandas stamp set using Daffodil Delight ink.  A strip of Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper was matted with a slightly larger piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.  A piece of Calypso Coral shimmer ribbon from the Shimmer Ribbon Pack was wrapped around the top of the strip and knotted on the front.  The panel was adhered along the left side of the card front leaving 1/8" between the top, left, and bottom edges of the card front and the top, left, and bottom edges of the panel.

The dancing party panda was stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black Archival ink.  The dots on the party hat were colored with Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write Markers.  The Whisper White cardstock was matted with a slightly larger piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.  Stampin' Dimensionals were adhered behind the back right of the Bermuda Bay cardstock and the focal point adhered to the card front with the right edge of the focal point 3/8" from the right edge of the card front and the bottom edge of the focal point 1/2" above the bottom edge of the card front.

A thin strip of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock was adhered at an angle along the left side of the dancing panda using teeny tiny dots of Multipurpose Adhesive.  The "Happy Birthday" greeting was stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Bermuda Bay ink and the image punched with the Classic Label punch adjusting the greeting toward the right side of the punch window.  A piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock was punched with the Classic Label punch and adhered behind and slightly to the right of the punched greeting to create a drop shadow.  Paper Snips were used to cut the combined punches 1/4" to the left of the "H" in "Happy Birthday" and the greeting adhered near the top of the thin strip of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to create a banner.

PartyPandas_HappyBirthday_Liner

The inside of the card was lined with a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  A thin strip of Bermuda Bay cardstock was adhered behind the top edge of a strip of Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper and adhered along the bottom edge of the liner.

The sitting panda was stamped just above the top edge of the Bermuda Bay/Designer Series Paper strip along the left side of the liner using Basic Black Archival ink.  The "Love You" sentiment was stamped inside the balloon using Bermuda Bay ink.  The confetti image was randomly stamped around the upper left corner of the liner.

PartyPandas_HappyBirthday_Envelope

The flap of the Medium Whisper White Envelope was randomly stamped with the "Happy Birthday" greeting using Bermuda Bay ink.  [Tip:  Place a scrap piece of paper between the envelope flap and the body of the envelope to ensure the ink resides only on the envelope flap.]  The confetti image was randomly stamped over the envelope flap using Daffodil Delight ink.

There are three pandas in the Party Pandas stamp set.  I only used two of them for this card, but you can see the third panda used for the focal point of this card.  I'm really having fun using the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper to add some fun colors to my projects.  You can see another use of the Designer Series Paper on this card

Of course, you can earn any of the Sale-A-Bration products featured for this project with a merchandise purchase of $50 USD.  Click on the Order Stampin' Up! Online button at the right sidebar of this blog page to shop the Stampin' Up! store 24/7.

So happy to see a post from you! Hope you're healing well and quickly from your procedure. Love the pandas and your cheerful card. It'd be a cute get well card too.
