Inky Friends New Annual Catalog Blog Hop -- Fabulous Flamingo
06/22/2017
Welcome to the first Inky Friends Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who have gathered to introduce the Stampin' Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog with some of our favorite offerings from the new catalog. To see the line up of Stampin' Up! artists participating in the hop, click here. If you are traveling forward through the hop, you've arrived from Yapha's blog where she featured the Coffee Cafe' stamp set. If you are traveling backwards through the hop, you just had some undersea fun with Tanya with the Magical Mermaid. It really doesn't matter which way you travel through the blog hop, though; all the blogs are linked in a circle and eventually you'll visit all the stops by clicking on the NEXT or PREVIOUS buttons contained in every blog post. I hope you enjoy your travels!
Anyone who knows me knows that I have a serious love affair with flamingos--especially the tacky pink variety. I've been collecting them (or my family has been gifting them to me) for many years. Right now they seem to be all the rage. It's no wonder. They are just so darn cute with those big bodies, gangly legs, and gorgeous pink/coral colors. When I first started thumbing through the new catalog, you can imagine my excitement when I saw the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set. It went to the top of my must have list--the great news was that I was able to WIN the stamp set at a Stampin' Up! event within just a few minutes of seeing the stamp set for the first time. I was over the moon excited!
I have two projects to share with you featuring this fun stamp set.

You and my DH would get along just GREAT; he loves flamingos, too, but his mean old wife won't let him put one in the yard. :D Both cards are very pretty, but I'm partial to the one with the scenery. Way cool!

Top card is my favorite. I sure wish I could pin it to my Pinterest board for inspiration when I'm ready to do one.

Happy Pink Flamingo Day! A day late. (But the thought is there.) I love the cut out flamingo in the first card. He really pops. The second one is amazing. I would never think to use those colors or emboss a flamingo, but it really does work! Thanks for joining our blog hop.

WOW. I really thought that flamingo was embossed when I first saw it. It was copper foil and the deep purple that got me. WOW.
