Sunshine Sayings -- Love Is On Its Way

Hello!

Today's post is a follow-up from last week's Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop featuring the Sunshine Sayings stamp set.  I hope you've taken the time to travel through all the stops on the blog hop to see all the amazing ideas using this very versatile stamp set and the coordinating Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  To see a line up of the Stampin' Up! artists who participated in the hop, click here.  To begin the hop, click here.

We all have difficult periods in our lives that challenge us in unexpected ways.  At these times, most of us tend to "burrow in" and try to tackle the problems on our own rather than "impose" upon our loved ones for assistance and/or a listening ear.  More often than not, it's these times when we should reach out to our loved ones.  This card contains a reminder to the recipient that they are not alone and that whatever help is required is there but for the asking.  It takes courage to ask, though.  I hope that when you are feeling overwhelmed, feeling lost and alone, or need a helping hand you will have the courage to ask for the help you need.  Challenges are more easily overcome when they are shared.

This card begins with a card base of Mint Macaron.  A panel of Gold Foil Sheets was adhered at the center of the card front.

The flower thinlit, from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, was die cut with the Big Shot using Crushed Curry cardstock for the flower petals part of the thinlit and then a second time using Garden Green cardstock for the stem and for the butterfly thinlit.  The stem was trimmed and adhered at the base of the flower petals using teeny tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid adhesive.  The combined flower was adhered to a piece of Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper using teeny tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid adhesive.  The die cut butterfly was cut in half with Paper Snips and the halves adhered along the flower stem using teeny tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid adhesive.

Crumb Cake cardstock was die cut with the Big Shot using a framelit from the Lots of Labels Framelits.  The watercolor smudge image, from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set, was stamped at the center of the framelit using Crumb Cake ink.  The phrase, "Is On Its Way" was stamped near the lower left corner of the framelit using Garden Green ink.  The "love" thinlit, from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, was die cut with the Big Shot using Crushed Curry cardstock and adhered to the Crumb Cake label using teeny tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid adhesive.  Holes were punched at the left and right sides of the label using the 1/8" handheld circle punch.  A piece of Gold 3/8" Metallic ribbon (from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack available only during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying order) was threaded through the holes in the label, wrapped around the paper with the label near the lower left side of the paper (place a couple of Mini Glue Dots on the back of the label to help anchor the label to the paper) and the ribbon knotted at the right side of the label.  The Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper was adhered to the Gold Foil Sheets so that the top and bottom edges of the paper are flush with the top and bottom edges of the Gold Foil and there are 1/8" borders of Gold Foil Sheets extending beyond the left and right edges of the paper.

The inside sentiment area of the card base was lined with a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  A narrow strip of Gold Foil Sheets was adhered along the back right side of a strip of Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The paper was adhered along the left edge of the liner.  The watercolor smudge image was stamped near the upper center of the liner using Crumb Cake ink.  The message of assistance, from the Sending Thoughts stamp set, was stamped over the watercolor smudge using Garden Green ink.  I just love the beautiful sentiments in the Sending Thoughts stamp set.  They are just perfect when you need to send a heartfelt message of encouragement.

A piece of Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper was adhered to the flap of the Medium Whisper White Envelope.  The paper was trimmed to match the edges of the envelope flap using Paper Snips.

If you are aware of a loved one who seems to be struggling, send them a note of encouragement.  Sometimes knowing that there's someone "out there" who's ready to be available to their needs can make all the difference in their ability to successfully overcome their challenges.

Your card is cheerful and your message to reach out to loved ones is so true. Thanks for the reminder and the good example of a card that would convey the message.
