Four Frames & Paisley Petals Sneak Peek (Part 3)

Hello!

There are only a few days left of the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog Sneak Peek, so here's a final card made using the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper and the Four Frames Stamp Set.

As with the first card designed for this promotion, I let the Designer Series Paper do the work.  It's just so pretty and the colors are so vivid that little else is required.  The 3" x 4" piece of Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper is matted with Cajun Craze and River Rock cardstocks.  The edges of the cardstocks are sponged with their respective ink colors and the edges of the Designer Series Paper with Cajun Craze.  These are adhered to the Always Artichoke card base (the edges also sponged with Always Artichoke ink).

The polka dot frame from the Four Frames stamp set was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Cajun Craze ink and punched out with the Decorative Label punch.  The "for you" sentiment, from the All Holidays stamp set, was stamped at the center of the frame using Old Olive ink.  The edges of the punched frame were sponged with Always Artichoke ink.  A mat of Always Artichoke (the edges also sponged with Always Artichoke ink) was added behind the punched frame (check out this post for more information about how to create the mat).  Two 1/8" holes were punched near the lower right center of the frame using the Crop-A-Dile.  A Clear Rhinestone Brad was inserted into the hole punched nearest the center.  Two tiny tags were hung from the second punched hole.

The tags were made by stamping the background stamp from the Clearly For You stamp set on Whisper White cardstock using River Rock ink.  The crown image was stamped on the background using Baja Breeze ink and the small flower image was stamped in another area of the background image using Cajun Craze ink.  The tags were punched out of the background image using the Medium Jewelry Tag punch.  Additional tags were punched from scraps of Baja Breeze and Cajun Craze cardstocks.  A 1/16" hole was punched through the top of all four tags.  Blue embroidery floss (DMC 3761) was threaded through the Baja Breeze stamped and Baja Breeze tags and knotted approximately 1" from the top of the tags.  Red embroidery floss (DMC 920) was threaded through the Cajun Craze stamped and Cajun Craze tags and knotted approximately 1" from the top of the tags.  Both ends of the embroidery floss were inserted into the remaining hole punched into the frame so that the knots in the embroidery floss are next to the hole on the back of the matted frame.  The ends of the embroidery floss are held in place on the center back of the frame with a Stampin' Dimensional.  The frame was adhered to the card with the bottom of the frame approximately 1" from the bottom edge of the Designer Series Paper, allowing the tags to hang down.  A half of a Stampin' Dimensional was placed on the back of the Baja Breeze and Cajun Craze cardstock tags to hold the cardstock tags in place on the card front; however the stamped tags are allowed to move freely on the embroidery floss.

The inside sentiment area of the card is lined with a piece of Whisper White cardstock, the edges sponged with Always Artichoke ink.  A strip of Designer Series Paper was adhered along the bottom edge of the Whisper White cardstock.  The bottom, left, and right edges of the Designer Series Paper were sponged with Always Artichoke ink and the top edge with Cajun Craze ink.

The background stamp from the Clearly For You stamp set was inked with River Rock ink, stamped on a scrap piece of paper, and then stamped at the lower left front corner of the Medium Whisper White envelope (a process called Stamping Off).  The crown and small flower images were randomly stamped on top of the background image using Baja Breeze and Cajun Craze inks, respectively.  The "for you" sentiment was stamped at the center of the background image using Always Artichoke ink.

As a reminder, the Clearly For You and Four Frames stamp sets and the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper used for this project are only available through April 30th.  After that time, the sales period for the Occasions Mini Catalog ends, which includes the Clearly For You stamp set.  April 30th also marks the end of the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog Sneak Peek; you'll need to wait until July to see these items again AND I should mention that one of these items, the Designer Series Paper, will have a price increase.

If you'd like to order any of these Sneak Peek items or the great items from the Occasions Mini Catalog, be sure to click on the Shop Online button at the top left corner of my blog page.  This will take you to my Stampin' Up! storefront where you can click on the Shop Now button at the lower right corner of the web page.  You'll receive the best on-line prices by shopping Stampin' Up! this way.

I'll be back in a couple of days with some great projects featuring items from the Summer Mini Catalog during the Stampin' Addicts Summer Mini Catalog Blog Hop.  Be sure to stop by to join the hop!

Also, be sure to keep an eye out for the final launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour.  I'll be watching from the Firing Room and it will be a bittersweet moment for those of us who support the Space Shuttle Program.  Currently the launch is scheduled for Friday, April 29th, at 3:47 p.m. Eastern Time.

Wow, what a lot of detail! The tags are fab, but the inside of the card and the envelope complete the effect!
