Circle Circus for the Scrapbook

Thanks for taking the time to visit!  A few days ago, I promised you a revisit to the Circle Circus stamp set; this time to make scrapbook pages.

These pages were designed for the September SASS Stamp Club meeting. As with the card, circle punches were used to create accents for the stamped images and for the scrapbook base pages.  And like the card, thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper was used for this project.  The edge of the Designer Series Paper was punched with the Eyelet Border punch.  The skinny strip of Thoroughly Modern Designer Series paper on the outer edges of the page border is actually the strip of paper left over when the Eyelet border is punched--what you are seeing there is the reverse side of the paper!  The wide Whisper White area is randomly stamped with Circle Circus stamp images.  Other Circle Circus images were stamped on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock to create the page accents.  (Note the Soft Suede centers of one of the large Melon Mambo circles on both pages and the spirograph circle in Dusty Durango on the right page.  Also, the Crushed Curry center placed on the larger Soft Suede circle is created from the center of the Crushed Curry scallop circle page accent on the top right page.)

Bling was added with Pink and Pumpkin Fire Circle rhinestones inserted into clear buttons.  For the images behind the buttons, stamp the image, place the image face up on top of the foam cushion and self-healing mat from the Mat Pack, then place the clear button, centered, on top of the stamped image.  Insert the Paper Piercing tool into each of the button holes, remove the button, then punch each image with the 3/4" circle punch (holding the punch upside down in your hand so that you can see in the stamped image through the punch window; ensuring that the "button holes" created with the Paper Piercing tool are centered inside the punch window).  Place the punched image, face up, under the clear button, insert the widened brad legs through the button holes and the punched image, then cross the brad legs on the back of the button.  Place one half of a Stampin' Dimensional on each each side of the crossed brad legs.

The images that circle the bling were created as shown in the diagrams above.  As with the card and the buttons with bling, hold the punch upside down in your hand, insert the stamped image face up into the paper slot, center the image in the punch window and squeeze the hand lever to punch out the image.

These pages will certainly give your photos a punch!
