Blossoming Basket -- Here For You

Hello!

The last few weeks have been a bit crazy with health issues as I recover from a surgical procedure that limited my ability to sit or stand comfortably for periods of time.  There were other restrictions, too; however, those weren't the ones that impacted my stamping time.  Now that things are improving, I'm excited to be back to crafting.  I've been focusing most of my limited crafting time on getting ready for my Stamp Clubs this weekend but wanted to give the Blossoming Basket Sale-A-Bration stamp set some ink before it retires at the end of the month.

The Blossoming Basket Sale-A-Bration stamp set is offered as a Bundle with the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  You can earn this Bundle for FREE with a merchandise order of $100 USD during Sale-A-Bration -- but time is running out on this offer because Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st.

This card begins with a card base of Early Espresso cardstock.  A piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Big Shot using the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered at the center of the card front using Multipurpose Liquid adhesive.

A piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the basket image from the Blossoming Basket stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Stampin' Blends alcohol markers were used to color the basket and flowers:  Light and Dark Crumb Cake for the basket, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight for the flowers with Dark Pumpkin Pie for the flower centers, Light and Dark Old Olive for the leaves, and Dark Pool Party for the filler.  [Tip:  Alcohol Markers saturate paper with ink.  Thick Whisper White, Thick Very Vanilla, and Shimmery White cardstocks are recommended when using alcohol markers.]  The Thick Whisper White cardstock was matted with a slightly larger piece of Early Espresso cardstock and adhered to the embossed Crumb Cake cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid adhesive with the top, left, and right edges of the Early Espresso mat 5/16" from the top, left, and right edges of the embossed Crumb Cake cardstock.

The butterfly image was stamped twice on a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Stampin' Blends alcohol markers were used to color the butterflies:  Light Pumpkin Pie for the outer edges of the wings and Dark Pumpkin Pie for the centers of the wings.  The butterflies were cut out with Paper Snips and one of the butterflies was adhered over the the flower basket using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment area of the card was lined with a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The "Here for you" greeting was stamped at the upper center of the liner using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The second butterfly was adhered at the upper right end of the greeting using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

A piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Big Shot using the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  A strip of Early Espresso cardstock was adhered behind the top edge of the embossed cardstock and the two pieces adhered along the bottom edge of the liner.

The "Here for you" greeting was stamped at the lower left front corner of the Medium Whisper White Envelope using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The butterfly image was stamped above the "Here" using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The butterfly was colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers:  Light Pumpkin Pie for the outside edges of the wings, and Dark Pumpkin Pie for the centers of the wings.  [Tip:  Alcohol markers saturate paper with ink.  Insert a scrap piece of cardstock inside the envelope behind the area to be colored to prevent the ink for bleeding through to the back of the envelope.]

As I mentioned previously, Sale-A-Bration is ending March 31st.  There are so many really lovely products being offered this year it's hard to decide which are my favorites.  If you have a favorite (or two or three) now is the time to place your order so that you can earn them before they are retired.  (The exceptions are the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Celebrate You Thinlits dies which will be returning in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog in June.)
