Stamp Review Crew -- Picture Perfect Birthday

Stamp Review Crew blog banner

Hello!  Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop featuring the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Stamp Review Crew is an international group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who gather for a blog hop the first and third Mondays of the month to review a single stamp set.  The number of participants varies from hop to hop, but the ideas are plentiful as we take a stamp set through its paces.  By the time you've traveled through the hop, you are sure to find a number of innovative ways to use the featured stamp set.  So sit back, relax, and get ready to start pinning ideas to your Pinterest board!

Now that the holiday season is over, I've been busy getting things put away and trying to organize myself for the coming months.  It's a slow and seemingly ponderous process, but I keep plugging away at it.  The worst of it seems to be in my crafting room which resembles a bit of an obstacle course that exploded.  The good news is that the stuff that's most accessible is my pre-order for the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration.

My first stamp club meetings of 2018 were this weekend, so I designed this card as one of the projects for my stamp clubs as well as for the Stamp Review Crew.  In addition to the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set, other new items from the Occasions Catalog include the Simply Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Myths & Magic 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper.  I've also included a bit of paper from the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper -- an item you can earn for FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration.

PicturePerfectBirthday_HappyBirthday

This card begins with a panel of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock embossed with the Big Shot using the Simply Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered at the center of a slightly larger panel of Bermuda Bay cardstock.  The panels were adhered at the center of the Calypso Coral card front.

A strip of light green Myths & Magic 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper was adhered across the center of a piece of Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper.  The Designer Series Paper was then adhered at the center of the embossed panel.

A piece of Whisper White cardstock was die cut with the Big Shot using the Lots of Labels Framelits (1-3/4" x 2-7/8").  The "Happy Birthday" greeting was stamped near the bottom edge of the die cut using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  [Tip:  The images in the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set are photopolymer; so for best results, use the Stampin' Pierce Mat.]  The solid candle image was stamped three times above the greeting using Lemon LIme Twist ink.  The polka dot candle image was stamped over the outside Lemon Lime Twist candles using Bermuda Bay ink.  The striped candle image was stamped over the center Lemon Lime Twist candle using Calypso Coral ink.  The candle flame image was stamped above each of the candles using Crushed Curry ink.  Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush was applied to the candle flames.  The die cut was adhered at the center of the Designer Series Paper using Stampin' Dimensionals.

PicturePerfectBirthday_HappyBirthday_Liner

The inside sentiment area of the card was lined with a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The "happiest of birthdays to you" sentiment was stamped at the upper center of the liner using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The solid candle image was stamped to the left of the sentiment using Lemon Lime Twist ink.  The polka dot candle image was stamped over the Lemon Lime Twist candle image using Bermuda Bay ink.  The party favor roll-out was stamped at the bottom of the candle image using Crushed Curry ink.  The paper ruffle image was stamped on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Calypso Coral ink, cut out with Paper Snips, and adhered at the neck of the party favor.

PicturePerfectBirthday_HappyBirthday_Envelope

The flap of the Medium Whisper White envelope was randomly stamped with the bow image using Bermuda Bay ink.  [Tip:  Place a scrap piece of copy paper between the envelope flap and the body of the envelope to prevent the images from being stamped on the body of the envelope.]  The image for the inside of the bow was stamped over the bow images using Lemon Lime Twist ink.  The sprinkles image was stamped between the bows using Crushed Curry ink.
