Stamp Review Crew -- Wood Words

Stamp Review Crew blog banner

Hello!  Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop featuring the Wood Words stamp set.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Stamp Review Crew is an international group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who gather for a blog hop the first and third Mondays of the month to review a single stamp set.  The number of participants varies from hop to hop, but the ideas are plentiful as we take a stamp set through its paces.  By the time you've traveled through the hop, you are sure to find a number of innovative ways to use the featured stamp set.  So sit back, relax, and get ready to start pinning ideas to your Pinterest board!

To see the line up of artists for this week's hop, click here.  If you've already joined the hop and are traveling forward, you've arrived from Natalie's blog where you were presented with an amazing project to inspire your creativity.  If you're traveling backwards through the hop, you've seen Tanya's project and are ready to CASE! (Copy And Share Everything)

I have three projects to share with you.

Over the weekend I conducted my Christmas Card classes.  Since I'm still in the Christmas mode, I thought that I'd make a Christmas card using some of the items from the Wood Textures Suite, which includes the Wood Words stamp set.  In addition to the Wood Words stamp set, you'll see the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and the Copper Trim.  The greeting comes from the Holly Berry Happiness stamp set.

Supplies I used to make this card --

Stamps:  Holly Berry Happiness, Wood Words; Inks:  Versamark; Cardstock:  Thick Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla; Designer Series Paper:  Wood Textures Stack; Embellishments:  Copper Trim; Adhesives:  Fast Fuse, Mini Glue Dots; Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Bone Folder, Paper Snips, Embossing Buddy, Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Tool

Since I was on a holiday theme, I wanted to see what a Valentine's Day card would look like.  In addition to the stamp set and the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, the hearts were die cut using the heart framelit from the Wood Crate Framelits dies.  The greeting for this card comes from the Labels to Love stamp set.

My final project features the colors from the Delightful Designer Series Paper used for the card front panel.  A Stamp-a-ma-jig was used to line up the roosters on the strip of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and the tag was die cut using the tag framelit from the Wood Crate Framelits dies.
